ABOUT
Arliene Koch | President/COO
AMSS,Inc. was established in 2004 by Arliene Koch, President. She is a certified professional coder and has been a licensed Medicare supplement insurance sales agent for the popular insurance company Colonial Penn. She has been in the medical field for over 30 years managing several specialty clinics. She attended Davenport University where she studied human resources and accounting. She is highly invested in her staff and provides ongoing training of monthly and annual updates including safety and security measures.
Arliene Koch has started many clinics from inception by facilitating the credentialing and contracting processes. She has effectively taken numerous practices in financial distress and reversed their downward spiral creating viable medical practices with positive cash flow and all because of expert billing and coding. She also provides practice management consulting at no additional cost to her billing clients and is available for individual PMC services as well.
At AMSS, Inc. we offer a low cost solution for practices as well as absorbing the typical employer expenses such as workers compensation, taxes and employee benefits. Our commitment is to provide the best customer service with excellent communication and integrity; generating as much income for our clients as they are entitled to legally and by keeping the practice aging to an absolute minimum which means less than 10% over 90 days. Daniel Nixon | Administrator
Daniel joined AMSS Billing as a billing specialist in September of 2013 after serving 5 years in the United States Navy. He is also graduated Magna cum laude from the University of Central Arkansas. He enjoys working to help medical and behavioral health practices hit the milestones they envisioned for themselves when they first began to practice. He is a great collaborator and problem-solver, and his contributions to AMSS Billing and their customers makes him a valuable member of the team.
Outside of the office, Daniel enjoys working in the yard, hiking and biking with his wife and two sons.
Megan Carr | Administrative Assistant
Prior to joining Advanced Medical Software Solutions in September of 2017, Megan studied medical billing and coding while working as a pharmacy technician. In the beginning, she was a billing specialist and although she continues to exercise that position, she is now the Administrative Assistant to the owner. She is one of two primary on-boarding specialists in the organization who integrates new customers when they sign on with our service. She has learned over a dozen new software programs since she started, and she uses those skills when teaching and training new employees. Her attention to detail is what is most evident when representing our customers and their patients or clients. She is passionate about doing the very best job possible and it shows in her work.
Outside of work, she enjoys spending time with her husband and 3 children; riding horses and watching her 3 children compete in horse shows. She also enjoys time at the beach in Gulf Shores.
Rebecca Arhlich, CPC
Rebecca has been part of the AMSS team since June 2016. She attended and graduated school for medical coding and billing in 1999. Rebecca obtained her Certified Professional Coding certificate in 2015, and now has over 20 years in medical coding and billing experience. Rebecca specializes in billing for Pediatrics, Internal Medicine, Family Practice, Podiatry and Cardiology. During her free time, Rebecca enjoys spending time with her family, fishing, being outdoors and reading.
Brianna Ballew, CPC-A
Brianna joined Advanced Medical Software Solutions, Inc. in June of 2020. She is a member of AAPC and is currently seeking certification in medical coding. Since becoming an AMSS, Inc. team member, she has acquired superior knowledge and experience billing for many specialties including mental health, chiropractic, physical therapy, and Autism ABA therapy. She has an outstanding work ethic and contributes daily to the office practices including brainstorming and problem solving. Brianna has a passion for working with the team to provide a smooth revenue cycle for providers and assisting patients with understanding the overwhelming world of health insurance.
Outside of work, Brianna enjoys taking care of her pets and spending time with her husband and extended family. She looks forward to continuing a passionate career in medical billing.
Shannon Goodman
Shannon joined Advanced Medical Software Solutions Inc. in August of 2021. She has worked in healthcare specializing in insurance benefits for 8 years prior to becoming part of the AMSS billing team. She is highly knowledgeable in all things related to insurance billing such as data entry, obtaining benefits, claim submission and status, and communicating with clients/patients about their individual accounts.
Outside of work, Shannon spends her time with her husband whom she has been married to for 13 years, and her two beautiful girls. During her time off you can always find her at the softball fields cheering on her daughter’s tournament team.
Shannon was and still is a special find for our organization. She always has a positive attitude and a smile on her face. Shannon goes above and beyond for all her providers and clients/patients. She strives in getting her work done effectively and in a timely manner every day. We are blessed to have her as an important member of this organization.
Joyce Thrash
Meet Joyce Thrash, a native of Dumas, Arkansas and a twenty-year resident of Conway, Arkansas! Joyce is an alumna of the University of Central Arkansas where she received a Bachelor of Science degree in Family and Consumer Sciences. She is also an alumna of the University of Arkansas Community College at Morrilton where she received a practical nursing diploma. Joyce has an extensive background with over 15 years of experience in Healthcare in the areas of general medicine, mental health, and pediatrics. Throughout her career, she has utilized the knowledge she has gained to help many individuals and families in outpatient, hospital and school-based settings.
Joyce has a track record of problem-solving and striving for excellence while achieving many goals. She thrives as a team player and enjoys research, being a volunteer, and loves to travel. She is family-oriented being a proud mother, daughter, sister, and aunt who is well-loved by her family. She works diligently and takes pride in meeting the needs of individuals, families, and providers. Joyce is a proud member of this epic team!
Stephanie Sullivan
Stephanie began working at Advanced Medical Software Solutions in July of 2018 after obtaining her bachelor’s degree in Business Management. She is thoroughly trained in the billing and revenue cycle management process and works with her accounts to ensure proper reimbursement both from insurance and patients.
During her nearly 4 years’ at AMSS, Inc., and as the organization has grown, she has been an account representative for approximately 15 different clinics with specialties ranging from primary care, gastroenterology, nutritional counseling, and otolaryngology.
She is always willing to learn new things to improve her skills and knowledge in billing and is considered an integral part of this company. Stephanie provides excellent communication between herself, her teammates, her providers, and their patients. She is diligent to complete tasks in a timely manner which included the use of all resources available to problem-solve any claim billing issues.
Originally, she is from central Arkansas where she has lived most of her life. She is a loving wife and expectant mother who is dedicated to caring for others. You will find that her love for helping others is unmatched. We are greatly blessed to have her!
